DMARC compliance for Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft sender rules
Bulk-sender rules require SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Get compliant, stay compliant, and have the evidence when someone asks.
What the mailbox providers require
Since 2024 Gmail and Yahoo reject or spam-folder bulk mail that is not authenticated; Microsoft followed in 2025. The list is short and testable.
| Requirement | What we check | Where |
|---|---|---|
| SPF or DKIM for all mail | SPF validity and lookup count; DKIM key presence and size | Posture check, daily |
| DMARC record with at least p=none | Record syntax, policy, rua destination | Posture check, daily |
| Aligned From domain | Alignment rate per source from aggregate reports | DMARC reports |
| Valid forward and reverse DNS | PTR and forward confirmation for the sending IP | Posture check |
| Spam rate under 0.3%, not on blacklists | Five DNS blacklists, listing and delisting tracked | Posture check, daily |
Evidence when audited
Every check is stored with its raw result. Change history, alerts and monthly reports show that authentication was in place and when it changed.
